MAJOR AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER MIX BROWN & WHITE ARRIVED 03/09/13 @51LBS MALE Major is a gorgeous and lovable staffie mix that was found running at large in the city of Plattsburgh, New York. This imposing boy looks like a brute but he is one of the sweetest dogs ever. The poor guy was so afraid when he arrived that he was whimpering and cowering. Major is in excellent health and seems to the other dogs he has met. The four-month-old kitten that is resides in the office scared the heck out of the poor guy. Major loves to play with toys and will rip apart most of them with glee. He is an active dog who likes to run and will need plenty of exercise. Major's kennel is very clean in the morning. He knows how to sit, lay down and to come on command.This great dog will do well in most homes. Come in and meet Major, take him for a walk and play with him. Major is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heart worm and has been neutered. ***UPDATE*** Major was adopted and returned to Elmore because he was too much for the small dog he was living with. Although they were just playing he got a bit too rough and accidentally injured the very small dog. He was fine with the cat in residence as well as the children in residence. He is a great dog that is looking for an active home where he can be the family dog he was meant to be. He is a lover of all dog toys and will demolish them with joy!
