SOPHIE DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR TUXEDO (BLACK & WHITE) ARRIVED 06/19/12 @ 7 LBS @ ONE-YEAR-OLD Sophie is a loving and playful cat that was surrendered by a citizen that had way too many cats to care for. Sophie lived in a barn for a long time and had a very bad case of upper respiratory infection. Along with the green discharge from her eyes and nose Sophie was sneezing out blood. She was extremely thin and she was full of fleas and worms. After several bouts of medical treatment which included antibiotics, probiotics and lysine compound daily her health was finally good enough to get her spayed and vaccinated; she also tested negative for FeLV, FIV and heart worm. Sophie is wheezing a bit now, but that is to be expected with a bit of congestion. Sophie needs to find her forever home with people that understand she will probably need to be seen by a vet more than the average cat. These vet visits could result in medications as well. Sophie is a joy to have in the office. She solicits love and likes to be pet. She likes to climb up on your lap or your chest and perch herself while you pet her. Sophie is a friendly cat who only needs to get into a home to be better, the less stressed a cat is the more apt they are to heal. Won't you consider giving this wonderfully loving and engaging cat a home? Sophie cannot live with dogs as she is very dog aggressive and will actively attack a dog without provocation. She is great with other cats, kids and adults.
