BONES HOUND/LAB MIX TAN ARRIVED 03/11/13 @54 LBS @ ONE AND A HALF-YEARS-OLD MALE Bones is a shy but loving dog that was found running the streets in the city of Plattsburgh, New York. He was picked up by the city police and brought to Elmore SPCA where he was very nervous and afraid. This gorgeous boy obviously needs to put on some weight as he is very thin, but he is recovering nicely. Bones is very unsure around new people, but he quickly warms up. He seems to take a little longer to come around with men, but he does come around. He loves to run and to play and is very, very fast. He is a huge fan of hugs and kisses and he walks well on a leash. He will do well in most homes but would do best in a home where he can get plenty of exercise and have room to run. Bones is a sweet boy who is submissive and whose first instinct is to run when he is afraid. Come in and meet this adorably goofy dog that is ready to find his forever home. ***UPDATE*** Bones went home with a great person, but had to come back to the shelter. He is very good when he is with his people, but when he is left alone he gets destructive in the home. Although Bones does well in his kennel here at the shelter he didn't care for being kennelled while the other dog in residence was free roaming. Bones is a great dog that only needs some time and patience. If you are home most of the time and have plenty of love, time and patience please come in and meet this wonderful dog!***U{DATE***Bones is in foster right now and is doing wonderfully. He enjoys the company of the other dogs in residence and has not been destructive when left alone! He has gained loads of confidence and we are confident he will fit into most homes!
